Synopsis

The Everest base camp trekking takes a trekker the closest to the highest peak of the world Mt. Everest and offers splendid views of mountains. The Everest Base Camp Trekking is one of the popular trekking destinations for among the trekkers; the trek offers one the opportunity to explore Everest base camp (5363 meters), Kala Pattar (5550 meters), Tengboche monastery and Sherpa hometown with their exquisite culture. The trek trail starts in Lukla, follows along Phakding and Dudh Koshi valley and climbs to a bustling Namche Bazar (3440 meters), a popular junction for trekkers. From Namche, the trek passes along high traversing path and heads along Thyangboche (Tengboche) monastery, which sits at an altitude of 3867 meters and has excellent views of Everest, the Lhotse-Nuptse, Ama Dablam and Kantega that give it a peaceful atmosphere. The trek then descends to the Imja Khola, continues to the villages of Pangboche, Pheriche, Dingboche and finally reaches Lobuche (4910 meters) with the remarkable views of the Ama Dablam, Taweche and other peaks. There is a short trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5140 meters) where from one can hike to Everest Base camp and ascend Kala Pattar (5550 meters) for a breath taking view of the world’s highest Peak Mt. Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon arrival in Kathmandu Active Sherpa Trekking airport representative pick you up at airport and transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu, afternoon free & rest.

Day 2 :Kathmandu flight to Lukla trek to Phakding (2610m)

Today early in the morning transfer to domestic airport for scenic 35 minute flight to Lukla. Before we begin our trek to phakding we stop for hours to short out our baggage and start our trek to Phakding, today our trek trial is gradual descent, cross the suspension bridge and passing through stone carving mani walls ( written Spiritual Mantra OM MANI PADME HUNG), Buddhist pray flags, monastery and beautiful Sherpa villages.

Day 3 :Phakding trek to Namche Bazar (3440m)

Continue our trekking to Namche bazar, crossing suspension bridges over the Dudhakoshi River and we enter the Sagarmatha National park check post, we pass Jorsale village and walk alongside of the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi rivers after few hours steep ascent brings us to the capital- land of Sherpa Namche Bazar known as Gate way of Everest.

Day 4 : Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar (3440m)

Today we stop at Namche Bazar for Acclimatization. There’s an optional 2 hour hike to Everest View Point, an uphill walk that will help speed acclimatization. Otherwise, spend the day exploring Namche Bazaar visit the Sherpa museum, Monastery and there are several quality restaurants, hotels, lodges, shops, money exchange services, internet cafes and bakeries.

Day 5Namche Bazaar trek to Tengboche (3867m)

After breakfast we will continue our trek to Tengboche with breathtaking views of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Tabuche and Kwangde, we stop over night at Tenboche, Tenboche is one the best place in Everest region with largest Buddhist Monastery.

Day 6 :Tengboche trek to Dingboche (4410m)

After a great trip to Tengboche, the trek trail descends and pass through a forest of birch, fir, juniper and rhododendron, we reach to lovely spot at Deoboche 4410 m with the outstanding view of Mt Ama Dablam.

Day 7 :Dingboche Acclimatization (4410m)

Today is rest day for acclimatization, if you are interested for a hiking trip to chhukung valley our guide will take you, then return to Dingboche by the evening. Otherwise short trek and explore to around Dingboche.

Day 8 :Dingboche trek to Lobuche (4910m)

Today the trek will be more challenging, due to the higher altitude, crossing Dhugla (4620m) with some of Tea house and pass a chain of stone stupa dedicated to the climbers and trekkers who lost their lives to Everest . From today you will get close view of high mountains like Mount Nuptse, Pumori and Lobuche after a while as you proceed towards Lobuche. Overnight at Lobuche.

Day 9 :Lobuche trek to Gorak Shep (5140m) then visit Everest base camp (5364m)

Today is our final destination for Everest Base Camp Trek , the trial about 4 hours trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep. After Gorakshep there are no teahouse/lodge so we take a Lunch at Gorak Shep then continue trek to Everest Base Camp. About 2 hour walking on a side ridge of the Khumbu glacier you will reach your final goal to Everest base camp at an altitude of 5364m. You can get a good view of Khumbu glacier, Khumbu Ice fall and the route to the south col. We return back to Gorakshep. Overnight at Gorakshep.

Day 10 :Gorak Shep Hike to Kala Pattar (5545m) then trek to Pheriche (4260m)

Today we start early morning to climb the Kala Pattar (5545m) the most important part of trip to gets the outstanding views of Mount Everest, the highest point on the planet at 8,848 m, and the other mountain, Nuptse, Pumori, Chagatse, Lhotse and countless others beautiful mountains. We make a quick descent to Gorak Shep at 5,160m then continue trek down to Pheriche. Overnight at Pheriche.

Day 11 :Pheriche trek to Tengboche (3867m)

Continue follow the main trail down the beautifully scenic valley; we passing through several beautiful small Sherpa villages with the Panoramic view of Island Peak, Lotshe, Nuptse. and the trail goes down to Pangboche from where we can see the great view of Mt. Amadabalam, one of the beautiful mountain of this region. The trial continue to Thyangboche, we stop at Thyangboche for overnight and evening we explore the Thyangboche Monastery.

Day 12 : Tengboche trek to Monjo (2835m)

Following the same trek routes, you will trek down to Monjo via Namche Bazar that will take about 7 hours to trek.

Day 13 :Monjo trek to Lukla(2840m)

Following the same routs and we crossing various suspension bridges, we walk gradually to Lukla. It is last night in Trekking celebrate the successful trip with the trekking crew. Overnight at Lukla.

Day 14 :Lukla flight to Kathmandu (1350m)

Today early morning fly back to Kathmandu Active Sherpa Trekking airport representative will transfer to your hotel and afternoon free & leisure for relax in Kathmandu.

Day 15 :City sightseeing to Swayambhunath, Kathmandu and Patan

After breakfast your tour guide will take you for full day city tour in Kathmandu valley including Swayambhunath Stupa, kwon as Monkey temple, world heritage site Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan back to hotel over night in Kathmandu Hotel.

Day 16 :Departure

After breakfast end our service with final departure transport Kathmandu International airport.
