Synopsis

Pikey peak Trek, which starts from Dhap village as we follow the newly built road that is heading to Phaplu. We walk through beautiful settlement of Sherpa community and mostly the trail follows mountain ridge towards Pikey Peak. A less crowed, short and easy trek gives you the opportunity to observe the wonderful view of the Number Himal range and Mt. Everest ( 8848 m) as well as stunning panoramic views of Nepal Himalayas from Annapurna on the west to Kanchenjunga on the east and a chance to visit a number of Buddhist sites (monasteries, Manes and stupas) Pikey peak trek offers beautiful sunset and sunrise views along with the unique experience of Sherpa culture and lifestyle in lower Solukhumbu region.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu

Today arrival in Kathmandu meet with our office airport representative and transfer to your Kathmadu hotel over night in Kathmandu

Day 2:Kathmandu – Dhap ( 2850m) Drive by private Jeep 7 hrs

Today our journey will start early in the morning by private Jeep drive to Dhap via Okhaldunga. The road follow along the river valley of Sun Koshi River until reaching Ghurmi where we will take our lunch in local restaurant. After lunch we continue drive up hill to passing the country side villages, beautiful landscapes and valleys until reaching Dhap(2850m).

Day 3:Dhap trek to Jhapre (2920m) 4-5 hrs trek

Today morning we start our trek from Dhap to Jhapre, half of the trail follows dusty under construction road and we reached at Jhapre, a small sherpa village with monastery and stupas, Jhapre is best view of Mt.Numbur Himal region and Mt. Everest. Over night stay at Jhapre.

Day 4:Jhapre trek to Pikey Base Camp (3585m) 5-6 hrs trek

Today trek passing through the Pine tree & Rhododendron forest until reaching Bhulbule (3210m), then trek continue to Lhamuje, our lunch stop at Lhamje and again continue trek to Pikey Base Camp passing the Mane wall and Yak Pasture Land.

Day 5:Pikey Base Camp trek to Pikey Peak (4065m) – Loding Village 4-5 hrs trek

Today we will starting early in the morning, gradual uphill trail to the summit Pikey (4065m), which take about as hour. If weather is clear, we enjoy the breathtaking view of Himalaya from Annapurna to Kanchenjunga and beautiful sunrise view. Then trail goes downhill and enter to the Rhododendron and Pine forest until Jase Bhanjyang (3550m) and continue trek descend to Pikey Khop and Loding village and stop over night at Loding Village.

Day 6:Loding trek to Jumbesi (2675m) 4-5 hrs Trek

Today the trail starts climbing to the small pass and again we start descent to the valley through Pine tree and rhododendron forests until reaching Tumbuk and trail continue passing several mani walls and stupas we reached lovely and beautiful Sherpa village Jumbesi. This path meets the Everest Base Camp trail coming from Jiri. Over night stop at Jumbesi.

Day 7:Jumbesi visit to Thubtenchholing Monastery trek Phaplu (2413m) 3-4 hrs Trek

Today morning after breakfast, we will visit to Thupten Chholing Monastery. The trail goes along Junbesi Khola with gentle climbing up hill. The Gompa was founded by H.H. Trulsik Rinpoche in 19th Century and practiced by Nyingmpa Buddhism. Then same way back to Junbesi after lunch trek down to Phaplu over night Phaplu Bazzar.

Day 8:Phaplu – Kathmandu by flight

Today morning after breakfast we will fly back to Kathmandu, afternoon your free & easy in Kathmandu.

Day 9:Kathmandu (B)

Today morning after breakfast we will go for half day city tour in Kathmandu including Swoyambhunath Stupa, 2000 years old Buddhist Temple of Swayambhunath, situated at the top of a hill, west of Kathmandu, is one of the most popular, holy and instantly recognized symbols of Nepal. The temple is also known as the ‘monkey temple’.

Patan Durbare Square:Oldest among three Durbar (royal palace) Squares, Patan Durbar Square, one of the world heritage sites, gives you the glimpses of mediaeval architecture and craftsmanship which one can find in the wood carvings of the palace and temples in the square. Afternoon your free for last minute shopping.

Day 10:Departure (B)

Today after breakfast we will drop you international airport for final departure.
